And there was a 'Commander' - six cylinder version while the President was a straight eight. Apparently the Champion was smaller, but maybe the four door Champion used the same body as the Commander and President.
Like a lot of vehicle manufacturers even today share body panel pressings etc.
My own Jeep Grand Cherokee shares panels with a Dodge model.

I'd rather like to have a Hispano Suiza....especially the Boulogne model. {I have seen, once, a long time ago, a Boulogne model in, erm, rosewood, I think?]

Reg No. XX 3883....1924 model.

I had the great misfortune to have to keep visiting Ashton Keynes while the replicas were being built. Friday lunchtime my mate gives up doing teeth, mid afternoon we took/collected something that needed machining at Ashton Keynes - allowed to take a good look at progress on the beast. Go home to meet the boys at the pub for a couple. How big is it? Well, each chassis leg took 18 bottles of oxygen to do the flanging.
And all for a £5 bet that a Royale could go up Prescot.

There is simply nothing more enjoyable than pootling around in something that has a choke.

It is the annual HVR at the boy’s school, some very desirable motors and then there is this.

At least she kept up with the rest, I am currently contemplating a scotch egg, whilst having a cuppa tea.

And at the other end of the scale, a Solex cyclomoteur.

Before I get too old to do it I've gone and done it , got back on an iron 'orse. :D
Collected today, with grateful help from Tony @Osgood , we returned home with a '55 Triumph 5T 'Speed Twin'.
Triumph twins have always been my thing, re-built more than half a dozen of them in the past, unit and pre-unit, including two Tritons and a couple of Bonneville's.
Now have the pleasure of looking after this pre-unit 500.

My old CZ 175 could do clutchless gear changes ..[or rather, clutch-leverless gear changes?]
Last rode it when the M5 got as far as Bridgewater.. Weekend commute from Lympstone to Scarborough. Contrary to regulations, of course, but that never bothered me [a lifelong trait, I'm afraid.].....2 stroke heaven! A better headlamp might have saved me doing unintended short cuts!

Way back in the early 80's I shared a house with a load of other bikers. Between us we had an ever-changing lineup!
There was also a Panther 600 single and a herd of MZ/CZ's which some of the lads used for despatch riding, and would regularly rebuild spare engines in the front room as they would wear them out doing ridiculous mileages. There was also a semi-usable Honda CB125 which ended up being stolen but no-one noticed for about a month!
The Bonnie 650 was mine. It worked a lot better after I threw away all the electrics and rewired it, fitted a decent headlight, electronic ignition and an alloy clutch cover with needle roller pushrod. Still leaked oil though...bikes1.jpg
