Crikey, that’s a bit of a shock!

RIP Martin and thank you for your contribution to our wonderful hobby over the years. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Martin was a great man, and a mentor to me in a modelling sense.
But also a good friend too.
As has been mentioned, his contribution to our hobby is very significant.

Very sad news. Didn’t know him other than at shows, but he was always helpful and friendly and looked very healthy!

That is very sad news indeed. I was privileged to be invited a few times to see Semley and Martin was always kindness itself (as well as an outstanding modeller). My condolences to his family.

Very sad indeed. I didn’t know Martin, but spent many an hour stood in front of his stand staring at his V2 kits. A trailblazer with an everlasting legacy.

A really great guy and a gentleman. It was his kits that brought me into building locos. They were well thought out and if you followed the instructions, they went together beautifully. If you did come across what you thought was a problem, Martin would kindly point you in the right direction. He was also very generous. When I dropped my large prairie, he gave me the etches to build a new chassis free of charge. RIP Martin and condolences to the family.
