I remember seeing the film years ago…..think I recorded it on VHS just to put it into context as to how long ago that was….

From memory there was a classic case of no continuity of one of the freight trains in the film, with the first shot showing a pannier on the front, then a 66XX and the last shot some other copper capped chimney machine at the head of it.

Story line was pretty weak, but as stated above, some really good views of the GWR in its prime.

First saw it as part of a film evening presented by tge late John Huntley at St Davids Hall in Cardiff. Great fun. The audience really got into it. Booing and hissing the baddies and cheering the goodies. Much clapping and cheering at the end.
