Talking Pictures is great for uncovering those overlooked documentaries, and Watching Trains is a lovely snapshot of the era when model railways and model engineering were taken very seriously. The 0 gauge locomotives are especially interesting — if it is Beeson, that would make sense, as his work was renowned for its craftsmanship and realism. I like how films like that quietly connect hobbyists, real railways, and international scenes. They’re calm, informative, and very much of their time.
