I'm very impressed with that tree! I'm assuming it's one from their 1/35 scale range? Do you mind if I ask which type of tree it is?Ballasting was completed a while back. Which meant I could move onto new grass.

I splashed out and bought a WWScenics static grass kit, which has been great fun to use.

A new tree! Courtesy of AK Interactive.
Still much to do. The original scenery at first glance was ok, but on closer inspection was a bit faded and dusty. So an update was justified in my opinion.

Dare we hope that you might find room for a 2sq ft extension and enter it in the S7 Challenge? This is my Scale7 layout. Built almost 20 years ago but inevitably never quite finished! It measures 5 feet long by 1 foot deep, which I suppose shows that it is possible to model 7mm/1ft in small spaces.
I have often thought about some sort of scenic extension doubling up as a fiddleyard. But right now I'm just going to focus on getting a very basic fiddleyard up and running.Dare we hope that you might find room for a 2sq ft extension and enter it in the S7 Challenge?

In reality the cassettes are unlikely to be swapped around that much. I bought them more as an easy way to knock up some extensions to the existing layout.Mike
The downside is that they come as expensive sets of pairs and, with cassettes, there’s an awful lot required. You need pairs at the end of every cassette.
My cheap, crude (but working) solution is documented on the S7 website under the Articles menu.

edited to make more sense - I hope
Hence trying to use off the shelf solutions in order to keep my S7 interests going.
